RCHSS offers 3 competitive grant programs each year. The Scholarship Support Grant (SSG), the Teaching Incentive Grant (TIG), and the Manuscript Completion Program (MCP).
SSG and TIG applications are evaluated by the RCHSS Grants Committee and the RFPs will be posted here when the competitions are open.
The Manuscript Completion Program (MCP) applications are evaluated by previous MCP recipients. More information about the MCP can be found on the RCHSS Faculty Development page. The deadline for this grant application is generally in early September. The program takes place in the Spring and the deadline is generally early in the Fall semester.
2020-2021 Scholarship Support Grant
The overall purpose of the RCHSS Research/Scholarship Support Grant is to provide faculty with additional support and resources for impactful research/scholarship projects at various stages. The goal is to provide a “boost” to faculty research in order for it to result in publications and/or external (non-KSU) funding.
Submission Deadline: March 16, 2021, 11:59 p.m. eastern. Applications received after the deadline will not be reviewed.
Note: Applications are reviewed by all members of the RCHSS Grants Committee. The Committee is comprised of 11 members, one from each RCHSS School or Department. Please keep in mind that committee members come from various disciplines and backgrounds and may not have knowledge of your specific discipline.
2020-2021 Student Success Teaching Incentive Grant
RCHSS Student Success Teaching Incentive Grants (SSTIG) focus on providing more experiential learning opportunities for students, increasing students’ sense of community and improving student retention. SSTIG Grants give faculty the opportunity to bring their scholarly expertise into the classroom to the benefit of students. Funds from these grants support initiatives aimed at enhancing student success in and outside the classroom, including but not limited to: field trips, engagement opportunities, books or supplies for project-based learning, funds to support traveling exhibits, funds for technology used for experiential learning projects, or honoraria and/or travel funds for guest lecturer presentations for classes.
