Civil War Timeline

The Civil War Timeline was originally created to commemorate the Civil War Sesquicentennial. One hundred fifty years after the American Civil War, we reflected upon the battles, campaigns, and the fallen, while remembering sacrifices endured on the home front. Each of these subjects, coupled with the political, social, and economic events of the period served to define our nation.
