The Kennesaw Mountain Staff Ride for Leadership Teams

The Kennesaw Mountain Staff Ride for Leadership Teams program is a unique and high-impact exposure to best practices in leadership, decision-making, communications, and logistics as seen through the lenses of some of our country's most prominent military and political leaders in history. Facilitated dialog among participants explores how these practices may apply to the challenges today's leaders face in managing their own organizations in the competitive battles of the 21st century.

The program is designed exclusively for members of the senior management team of an organization accountable for the strategic direction and performance of their organizations.

About the Staff Ride

The program is an adaptation of one which has been conducted for nearly twenty years at the U.S. Army War College and Gettysburg. The focal point is the significant Atlanta Campaign of 1864, and, in particular, the battles fought at Kennesaw Mountain and nearby Cheatham Hill. Inspired by former RCHSS dean Robin Dorff, who helped to lead the nationally-recognized U.S. Army War College program as a faculty member there, the specially designed KSU Staff Ride for Leadership Teams is led by Dr. Brian S. Wills, Director of the KSU Civil War Center.  Special guests are often part of the program.
