Would you like to be a part of the Affective Neuroscience Lab?

We are currently accepting new research assistants for the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 academic semesters. To participate in our Summer 2018 Research Training Program, please complete the followings steps:

  1. Download this PDF form and fill in all the details!

  2. Send your form to the following address: eglove12@kennesaw.edu.

  3. Get CITI Certified:
    • All lab personnel must have certificates on file for completion of the following training modules:
      • Students Conducting No More Than Minimal Risk Research
      • Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research Course
    • For instructions on how to complete these please look at this form.
    • Once you complete these, please email your certificates to eglove12@kennesaw.edu. Please be advised that you will not be allowed to collect data until these certificates are received.

  4. Accept the invitation to join the lab's Dropbox folder.
    If you provided a Dropbox email in your application, you will receive an invitation to join our lab’s shared folder. In the folder you will find a collection of scientific papers for your background literature review, inventories that we use, training manuals and other important documents. You should visit this folder frequently and familiarize yourself with the material.

  5.  Sign up for lab training.
    Once you are in Dropbox, you will have access to our training schedule, where you may sign up for training. Instructions on how to sign up for training are in the document. Please edit the document within Dropbox, so that everyone can see your changes. 

    Once you have completed steps 1-3, you may receive an invitation to join our lab listserv and you will begin to receive regular emails concerning lab activities, meetings, and announcements.

  6. Show up for lab training.
    It is important that you commit to showing up for training on a consistent, regular basis in order to successfully progress through this research training program. Once you've completed at least one training session, then we'll meet to discuss a mentoring plan (e.g., for graduate school admission, abstract submissions, recommendation letters, etc.).  

We shall process your application and update you with our final decision after receiving all of your documentation.
