The team’s performance was particularly impressive, as they outshined prestigious institutions like Georgetown University, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the University of Birmingham (UK). Other recipients of the Distinguished Delegation Award included the Royal Military College of Canada and Georgia Tech, underscoring the level of competition at the event.

“Winning the Distinguished Delegation Award is a testament to our team’s dedication and hard work,” said Prof. Stephen McKelvey, the Model NATO advisor. “We are thrilled with this achievement, especially since we had only two returning delegates from last year. This demonstrates the resilience and talent of our students.”

The conference featured delegations from 26 institutions, with 16 teams walking away without any team awards. The KSU delegation’s success reflects not only their preparation and teamwork but also the steadfast support of the SGIA, the Radow College, and the KSU.

“We are incredibly proud of our students for their commitment and excellence,” said Dr. Ramazan Kilinc, Director of the School of Government and International Affairs. “This achievement highlights the potential of our students to compete and succeed on the international stage.”
