Fall 2021 Advising
Effective August 1, 2021, our advising center will offer in-person advising again! Students will have the option of choosing between an in-person or virtual advising session when booking an advising appointment. If you plan to meet with an advisor in-person, please keep in mind that fully vaccinated individuals may resume on-campus activities without wearing a face mask, including indoors. Unvaccinated individuals are strongly encouraged to continue to socially distance themselves from others when possible and wear face masks while inside campus facilities.
Our office will conduct walk-in advising during the first week of fall classes on August 16-20, 2021. Virtual and in-person walk-in sessions will be available for students.
The Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences (RCHSS) Undergraduate Advising Center serves students who have declared a major, minoring, an interest, or are considering a major, in the College. We assist students with appropriate course selection, fulfilling general education requirements, understanding pre-requisite requirements for their major, creating academic plans, and finding and referring students to other campus resources for their academic success.
Advising is an integral approach in a student’s progression toward graduation. Academic advising helps students to navigate through the rules and regulations of the Institute; helps students stay on track for graduation; disarm the traps of class pre-requisites; guard against students taking additional classes that will cost more money and delay graduation.
To stay up to date with deadlines, please refer to the Academic Calendar on the Registrar's website. Individual time tickets are assigned to each student and can be viewed in Owl Express.
You can find general registration instructions on our Student Success Resources page.
