  • The Thinker (statue) created out of canned and boxed foods

    UnCANny Creations Contest

This fun challenge elevates food collection to the next level. On November 11, three teams will build food sculptures from collected canned and dry goods cross Kennesaw Campus. Teams will have the entire school day to build their creations with approved materials. At the end of the competition, Dr.  Kaukinen, dean of RCHSS, will judge creations and award prizes.

RCHSS will donate all items used to the Care Services food pantry.

    Congratulations to our winners!

      Student Speaker Panel

Students who experience housing insecurity or have been unhoused are the most qualified to offer insights and  highlight practical challenges to learning. We will examine specific needs to address to better support uninterrupted education. The students’ perspectives offer guidance and direction to those who are committed to developing ways to meet their needs.

At least once during the year, the 365 Days of Learning & Service initiative will conduct tabling events to connect students with community partners who offer essential services and can address students’ needs. In addition, community partners offer students engagement opportunities through volunteering both on and off campus.

This drive will collect these personal products for distribution to community partners that are committed to fulfilling this need. The drive raises awareness of the most basic needs and challenges of being unhoused.
