Graduate Certificate in Applied Peacebuilding

The Certificate in Applied Peacebuilding provides students with a fundamental set of concepts, tools, and skills to prepare them for or advance their careers in conflict, peacebuilding, and international development fields. The courses focus on specific, marketable, practical skills that are in-demand for those seeking careers and career advancement in government, NGOs, and the military.

This online certificate brings together KSU's commitment to our conflict management programs and accessible global professional education. This is the only graduate certificate in peacebuilding within the University System of Georgia and the only online program in the School of Conflict Management, Peacebuilding, and Development.

In addition, we have developed a partnership with the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) Global Campus that may allow for our students to have access to their courses. Upon completing our certificate program, students obtain an academic credential and USIP’s internationally recognized professional development training.

Through their coursework, students will demonstrate their knowledge of core theories, concepts, and principles in conflict management, peacebuilding, and development. Develop and apply knowledge of at least 2 advanced content areas like non-violent resistance, transnational civil society, elections and electoral systems, mediation, and negotiation.
