Dr. Evelina Sterling wins award for her research on pregnant opioid users in N. Georgia
KENNESAW, Ga.
(Dec 10, 2018) — Dr. Evelina Sterling along with co-researcher, Silke von Esenwein from Emory, were
recognized by the Georgia Health Foundation for their work on pregnant opioid users
in North GA. They were one of 20 organizations/projects in Georgia recognized for
promoting the health of Georgians.
The award was presented on December 6, 2018 by the Board of Directors of the GA Health Foundation at the Capital City Club in Downtown Atlanta.
The GA Health Foundation was created in 1985 and is dedicated to improving the health of Georgians and recognizes a broad range of health-related areas to organizations operating exclusively for charitable, scientific, or educations purposes. Awardees most often address health issues of local importance and/or opportunities to address regional or national health issues.
