  • KMWP partnered with Griffin Middle, Campbell Middle, and Campbell High schools Math, Science, English, and Social Studies teachers to provide a literacy instruction collaborative through Georgia’s Improving Teacher Quality Higher Education Program. (2014)
  • Through the National Writing Project’s Supporting Effective Educator Development (SEED) grant, KMWP partnered with Campbell High School to deliver 30 hours of professional development. (2013)
  • Using teacher consultants contracted through the organization Improving Student Achievement (ISA), KMWP provided literacy coaching in Booker T. Washington High School, South Atlanta High School, and Therrell High School. (2013)
  • KMWP provided a summer mini-institute for Cobb County School System’s Area 2 teachers through a Kennesaw State Unviversity Teacher Quality partnership grant. (2012-2013)
  • KMWP was awarded an NWP Technology mini-grant to partner with Cobb County School District in supporting teacher experimentation with web 2.0 resources in the classroom. Work on the mini-grant culminated in an invitational 10-hour workshop in June 2011. (2010-2011).
  • KMWP hosted a Advanced Technology Institute for teachers to develop tech-related projects with the goal of improving student learning while simultaneously serving as resources for fellow teachers. (2008)
  • Professional development for Forsyth County Schools, Summer Institutes (2008-2009).
  • Provided professional development to several APS teachers from the following schools: Booker T Washington, North Atlanta, Maynard Jackson, Grady, Carver, Douglass, and South Atlanta in collaboration with teachers from the following private institutions: Westminster, Lovett and Paideia.
  • Partnered with the NCTE’s (National Council of Teachers of English) Read, Write, Think initiative by writing lessons for publication on www.readwritethink.org.
  • KMWP sustains a partnership between Kennesaw State University’s International Projects and Colegio Menor San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador, an American school just outside the capital.
