A new Publication by David Jones, Professor of Philosophy

KENNESAW, Ga. (Aug 17, 2017)The Fractal Self: Science, Philosophy, and the Evolution of Human Cooperation, co-authored by David Jones and John L. Culliney has been published by the University of Hawaii Press.

As Graham Parkes, Research Fellow at the University of Vienna has written in his review, "John Culliney and David Jones have managed something very unusual: a collaboration between experts, one in biology and one in philosophy. They initiate a dialogue between the natural sciences and the humanities - from chemistry to astrophysics, from ancient myth to East Asian thought - that reveals a prevalence of cooperation over competition."

Dr. David Jones is professor of philosophy and editor of the Series on Comparative and Continental Philosophy (Northwestern University Press), Comparative and Continental Philosophy (Taylor and Francis), and the founding editor of East-West Connections and serving as its editor from 2000 to 2013. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana, Visiting Professor of Chinese Philosophy at the University of North Georgia, and Visiting Professor of Confucian Classics at Emory. In 2013 and 2015 he was Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at National Taiwan University.
