Jiayan Zhang receives two awards.
KENNESAW, Ga. (Feb 28, 2017) —
Dr. Jiayan Zhang has been awarded both the CHSS Summer Research Grant and the Tenured Faculty Enhancement Leave for Fall 2017.
Dr. Zhang joined the faculty at Kennesaw State University in August 2004. He received his master’s degree in agronomy from Nanjing Agricultural University in Nanjing, China, and his Ph.D. degree in history from UCLA. He is a historian who specializes in agrarian history, environmental change, and peasant studies. His recent research has focused on the interrelationship of environmental change, economic growth, and peasant responses in the Jianghan plain, Hubei, central China. He teaches world history, Asian history, and Chinese history.
