Journalism Senior Capstone class attends the Georgia First Amendment Foundation's annual Weltner Freedom of Information Banquet

 

KENNESAW, Ga. (Nov 13, 2017) — The SOCM senior journalism capstone class attended the Georgia First Amendment Foundation’s annual Weltner Freedom of Information Banquet.  They attended with Dr. Carolyn Carlson, Assistant Director and Associate Professor of Journalism and Emerging Media. The event was held on Oct. 19 at the Emory Conference Center.

The students attended free of charge, compliments of the Georgia First Amendment Foundation.

Dr. Carlson is a founder of the GFAF and its long-time treasurer.  She was recognized during the dinner because she is retiring from the board after 25 years of service.
