KSU Professors greet GRAORCA attendees

KENNESAW, Ga. (Aug 30, 2016) — On August 24, Criminal Justice Professors Peter Fenton and James McCafferty attended the Georgia Retail Association Organized Retail Crime Alliance (GRAORCA) annual conference at AmericasMart in Atlanta. GRAORCA is an organization comprised of retail loss prevention specialists throughout the State of Georgia. The conference featured a number of seminars and a variety of security vendor booths; Professors Fenton and McCafferty set up a booth to promote KSU CJ graduate and undergraduate programs.

For the second year in a row, GRAORCA donated $5000 to the KSU CJ Program to support scholarships for criminal justice students participating in internships in the field of loss prevention. Two $1000 scholarships were awarded in the Spring 2016 semester and more awards are anticipated in the current semester and the following academic year. Our department is very grateful to GRAORCA for its generosity and interest in our experiential education efforts.
