LALS Student, Kevin Amaya, Interned in Washington, D.C.
KENNESAW, Ga. (Sep 14, 2015) — Kevin Amaya, a Latin American/Latino Studies Student, spent the summer in Washington, D.C. as an intern at the Office on Latin America. He gained insight into the making of U.S. Policy toward Latin America and conducted research to support the office of advocacy of human rights in the Americas.
His favorite experiences included sitting in meetings with policymakers on Capitol Hill and witnessing the opening of the Cuban Embassy in Washington.
