New Publications by History Faculty!

 

KENNESAW, Ga. (Mar 27, 2014)The River Was Dyed with Blood: Nathan Bedford Forrest and Fort Pillow a new book by Brain Wills, Professor of History and Director of the Center for the Study of the Civil War Era has been released by University of Oklahoma Press. Professor Wills is the author of a number of works related to the Civil War in the United States including George Henry Thomas: As True as Steel and Confederate General William Dorsey Pender: The Hope of Glory.

 

David Parker, Professor of History has published "The Soldier, the Son, and the Social Scientist: Three Georgia Textbooks Authors and the Lost Cause," in the Winter 2013 issue of 49th Parallel: An Interdisciplinary Journal of North America. Professor Parker is author of with John D. Fowler of Breaking the Heartland: The Civil War in Georgia (2011)
