Philosophers Attend CCPC in Iceland

 

KENNESAW, Ga. (Jun 5, 2015)The KSU faculty was well represented at this year's annual meeting in Reykjavik, Iceland at the Comparative and Continental Philosophy Circle.

Joshua Mason presented "The Moral Metaphors that Structure Confucian Families and Chinese Governments."

"Philosophy as Critique: Thoughts on Using South Asian Theories of 'Defect' (Dossa/Klesa) as a Basis for a Decolonial Philosophy" was presented by Amy Donahue.

And Andrew K. Whitehead presented his "Philosophical Anthropo-poiesis: Towards a Global Understanding of Becoming Human.

The 10th meeting of the CCPC was kicked off by David Jones giving the Presidential Address: "This is What I heard, and Even Some More: Nature as Sutra and the Fiction of David Farrell Krell."

Some of the best scholars and philosophers from around the world attended and reports have it that Kennesaw's philosophy program is on the map.
