The 5th Annual African & African Diaspora Studies Student Research & Engagement Conference is Thursday, March 21, 2013

 

KENNESAW, Ga. (Mar 15, 2013) — Join the African & African Diaspora Studies Student Research and Engagement Conference to hear nationally known speakers, such as Howard Dodson, Beverly Guy-Sheftal, Valentin Mudimbe and the AADS Students on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

There will be a Dinner and Awards Banquet from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. sponsored by AADS with a catered Caribbean Buffett offerred by Golden Krust. 

This is followed by a keynote adress by Howard Dodson, Diretor Emeritus of the Shomberg Center for Research in Black Culture and the Director of Howard University's Moorland-Spingarn Research Center and University Libraries. 

This will be followed by a Pan-African Hip Hop as Social Movement Event at the University Place Amphitheater.
