Where are they now?

  • Malekica CadeMalekica Cade is currently a Corporal (Rank) in the United States Marine Corps and has been serving our country for about 3 years now. She is stationed at Quantico VA Marine Corps Base. Malekica is a Tactical Transmission Operator (formerly known as “Field Radio Operator”). In that job, she teaches and trains student Lieutenant Officers the basics of how to communicate with our various tactical communication assets.

Malekica graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2015 with her Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice. She says, "the ways in which I was taught to think and assess situations has allowed me to not only be a better tactical communicator in the Marine Corps but it has also allowed me to stand out amongst my peers."

After Corporal Cade's term is over (in about 7 months), she will be applying to law school and plans to concentrate on the area of corporate law.
  • Morgan GreenMorgan Green just completed her 5th year teaching in the Cherokee County School District. She is teaching U.S. History (AP, Honors, and On Level). Morgan has also taught world history, geography, as well as honors U.S. & World Affairs. She loves bringing history to her students using Skype for virtual field trips and speaking with experts in the field. This last semester she started Rho Kappa- National Social Studies Honor Society at her school and she sponsors their Secretary of State Student Ambassadors Program.

Morgan coordinate social studies focused trips with EF Tours. They recently returned from a trip to Italy where they learned about the Ancient Romans. Next summer, they will travel to Berlin, Munich, Prague, and the Swiss Alps to study WWII and Cold War History.

Currently, Morgan is pursuing her Specialist Degree from KSU in Curriculum and Instruction. She also graduated in Spring 2018 from KSU with a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology.

  • Tim ViscontiTim Visconti is the CEO and Founder of PeopleLift, a rapidly growing Employee Experience(EX) consulting firm that empowers growth minded businesses with world class solutions guaranteed to accelerate your growth curve via bleeding edge intelligence, recruiting and retention programs.

Tim previous executive experience was honed over 12 years in Fortune 500 organizations specializing in scaling startup People Operations functions.

Tim has worked primarily in web/ecommerce-organizations but has worked in Auto, Real Estate, Banking, Telecom, Supply Chain, CPG & hospitality industries.

When not working with a startups or coaching entrepreneurs, Tim is a contributing writer for Forbes YEC Council, frequenter of podcasts and #futureofwork speaker.

He says that “the program [at KSU] taught him how to think from top down and bottom up, the ability to present research confidently and quantify hard to grasp concepts (such as bias based on my research of voting behavior).”

  • Dustin Jacobs and Charles ThomasDustin Jacobs and Charles Thomas started Hooty Hoo Productions in September 2018. The co-founders met in a Communications class. Since the school was such a large part in the company's founding, it seemed a natural fit to include the rallying cry of the Owls in the name. Their first project was MORE THAN A GAME, which is now streaming on the Georgia based streaming service You42. They went into production on that show last November and released the show this past March. Connor Echols is the subject and a current Kennesaw State University student. They are currently in post with a stand up special they shot in Washington DC and are prepping a music video out in Los Angeles.

Dustin says, “Communication is the key to literally everything, specifically the progression of humanity.”
