Recent Faculty Publication. The Modern, the Postmodern, and the Fact of Transition: The Paradigm Shift through Peninsular Literature
KENNESAW, Ga. (Oct 18, 2011) — Dr. Robert Simon, Associate Professor of Spanish and Portuguese in the Department of Foreign Languages, has recently published his newest critical study, The Modern, the Postmodern, and the Fact of Transition: The Paradigm Shift through Peninsular Literatures, with the University Press of America (ISBN 978-0-7618-5764-8).
The book is currently in the pre-order phase and will arrive in print in early 2012. The study focuses on the application of Kuhn's Paradigm Shift Theory in interpreting sociocultural change in the Iberian Peninsula from approx. 1950 to today, utilizing literature (mostly poetry) as a reflection of that change. This book will be of interest for anyone interested in Critical Theory, Spanish and Portuguese Literatures, and Cultural Studies.
