About the Certificates

  • Choose from five MAPW graduate certificates that may be non-degree or available while pursuing your master’s degree. 

    9 Credit-Hour Certificates (3 classes)

    • Artificial Intelligence & Writing Technologies

    12 Credit-Hour Certificates (4 classes)

    • Creative Writing
    • Professional Editing and Publishing
    • Professional Writing for International Audiences
    • Screen & Television Writing

    • Complete the top portion of the Request for Add-On Certificate form and email it to gradcollegeforms@kennesaw.edu. You may earn up to two (2) certificates at a time.

      All requests for to add a certificate to your record must be submitted no later than four weeks prior to the beginning of the semester.

    • You will submit a petition to graduate in Owl Express. The graduate certificate petition fee is $15. See details and petition deadlines here.

    • You will submit an exit survey and portfolio of your work to the Certificate Coordinator on the last day of class in the semester you are completing your certificate. See below for details on the portfolio submission for each program.
