MAPW Launches Two New Magazine Issues
KENNESAW, Ga. (Aug 30, 2018) — The MA in Professional writing program launched two new issues of its magazines this Fall. The magazines were produced by students and are housed at KSU Digital Commons.
MAPWriting issue 3 is all about student projects that engage the community. Read about Bailey McAlister’s capstone thesis that studied the online identities of First Year writers, Kelsey Medlin’s internship that lead her to editing a book on Hip-Hop, Daniel Lumpkin’s capstone that took him to Georgia’s death-row, and others. Also learn about projects in Dr. Beth Giddens’s grant and proposal writing class, Dr. Sergio Figueredo’s technical writing class and in Dr. Lara Smith-Sitton’s internship class. You can also catch up on recent book and article publications from faculty and alumni. Read about it here.
In the mood for a poem or a short story? Check out Crambo, the first issue of a unique on-line literary magazine from MAPW students. It’s the only literary journal in the world where graduate students publish only other graduate students. You’ll find it here. Enjoy!
