About the M.A. in Professional Writing

  • The M.A. in Professional Writing (MAPW) degree takes 36 credit hours to complete. See the breakdown below:

    • PRWR 6000 Intro to Professional Writing (3 credit hours)
    • Concentration Area (15 credit hours)
    • Support Area(s) (12 credit hours)
      • Option 1: Three (3) courses in one of the concentration areas that is not your concentration and one (1) free elective course 
      • Option 2: Two (2) courses in each of the remaining concentration areas that are not your concentration
    • PRWR 7960 MAPW Capstone Project (6 credit hours)
