Temporary, Part-time Positions
The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Kennesaw State University seeks candidates for appointment as temporary, part-time instructors in languages offered in the Department on an ongoing basis: American Sign Language, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish. Temporary, part-time positions are filled on an "as needed" basis. Responsibilities include teaching up to two classes per semester with a maximum of four courses per academic year. Required qualifications: enthusiasm/interest in teaching communicative, learner-centered, beginning language and culture courses; a Master's degree in the target language or in a related field; 18 graduate hours in the target language (language, culture, or literature) or equivalency. PhDs or ABDs are welcome to apply. Previous experience in teaching the target language at the college level is preferred. Compensation: $3,000 per course with M.A.; $3,075 per course with Ph.D. Application instructions are provided on the Careers at KSU page, maintained by Human Resources.
