In this Study Abroad Japan-Korea Program, we will spend 12 days in Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya,
and Kyoto, Osaka), and 12 days in Korea (Seoul, Busan, Gyeongju, and Paju-DMZ), exploring
the amazing contrasts of both ancient and modern cultures of both countries. Students
will have the opportunity to observe and interact with the Japanese and Korean people
and societies, and explore museums, palaces, castles, shopping districts, gardens
and shrines. Through direct immersion in traditional and contemporary Japanese and
Korean cultures, students will gain well-rounded perspectives of the heart of both
peoples, and open their eyes, ears and hearts to the breath-taking beauty, charm and
wonder of these lands.
